Has anyone ever told you that dark chocolate is relatively healthy, well the reasoning behind this is the amount of cocoa which is put into dark chocolate. You see, cocoa is a superfood but the reason dark chocolate isn’t, is the amount of sugar inside chocolate. Cocoa nibs, however are pure cocoa, just little chunks but the reason sugar is put in chocolate is that cocoa is very sour, as are the nibs, so you can’t eat many of them at once. Despite this flavour, cocoa nibs have many health benefits including the high content of fibre
and protein within them, this will slow digestion and leave you feeling full for longer. Also, they are packed with antioxidants and phytonutrients these will help you fight damage caused by free radicals. There are many other health benefits of eating this superfood but if I explained them all then this article would be pages long, so I will only list them: they are a good source of iron, a brilliant source of manganese, ¼ of the amount of caffeine in a cup of coffee.
